How We Work

The Same Five Steps, Whichever Service It Is

22 services and one way of running a job. This is it.

01

You Tell Us the Job

In your own words rather than ours. You do not need to know which service it is, that is our end.

02

We Come and Measure It

On site, looking at the ground, the access and the drainage. Free, and it is where the real decisions get made.

03

One Written Price

For the whole job rather than a rate per square metre, with the things that could change it named up front.

04

The Same Crew Pours It

The person who quoted it is there on the day. Nothing gets handed on halfway through.

05

Cut, Cured and Cleaned Up

Joints cut early, the slab cured rather than left to dry fast, and the site left the way we found it.

Why Launceston Homeowners Choose Us

01

Fifteen Years of It, Here

Northern Tasmanian ground, northern Tasmanian weather. Concrete behaves differently below ten degrees and a good part of our year is.

02

The Same Crew from Quote to Pour

The person who measures it is on site when it is poured. Nothing gets handed to a subcontractor halfway through, which is where most jobs go wrong.

03

Measured on Site, Priced in Writing

Not a rate per square metre off a photo. One written price for the whole job, and the measure costs you nothing either way.

04

We Will Talk You Out of Things

Out of a pump you do not need, a repair that will not last, a finish that is wrong where you want it. It is on nearly every page here.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you cover all of these services yourselves?

Yes. Everything on this page is our own crew rather than work passed to a subcontractor. The two things we do not do are trenching and service connections, and large-scale rural earthmoving, and we will point you at a dedicated Launceston firm for either rather than take the job.

Which service do I need?

If you are not sure, ring us and describe the job rather than trying to name it. Most enquiries are a driveway, a shed slab or a patio, and most of the decisions that matter, thickness, base, drainage and finish, get made after we have looked at the ground rather than before.

Do you do small jobs?

Yes, and we will tell you honestly when a small job is not worth the callout on its own. Getting to site costs the same whether it is one metre of path or twenty, so if you have several things that need doing it is worth putting them in one visit.

How much does concreting cost in Launceston?

A driveway generally runs between $60 and $150 per square metre installed, and the finish is what decides where inside that you land: plain broom at the bottom, exposed aggregate and colour in the middle, stamped work at the top. In whole-job terms a single driveway is usually somewhere between $1,800 and $5,200 and a double between $3,000 and $10,500. Those are indicative. The firm number depends on the area, what is there now, the ground underneath and the access, which is what the free measure settles. Our driveway pricing guide sets it out in full.
